Create a webhook URL in your Slack workspace to receive notifications

Also check the www/apex counterpart of monitored apex domains

When monitoring https://domain.com the checker also probes https://www.domain.com (and vice versa). Deeper subdomains are skipped. A separate variant down alert fires when the counterpart is unreachable.

Enable SSL certificate expiry checks

Slack Setup

Go to your Slack workspace
Navigate to Apps & Integrations
Search for "Incoming Webhooks"
Create a new webhook
Copy the webhook URL here

Heartbeat Rules

Heartbeat intervals are absolute
Minimum interval is 60 seconds
Higher frequency = more accurate but more load
Default 300s (5 minutes) is recommended

Alert Behavior

Alerts pause for 1 hour after triggering
Prevents alert spam
Alerts resume when site recovers
False positives reduced by retries
